We have had a great week in the NBA. Let’s finish it off with more winners! I looked through the NBA odds to find the winning Banker and 2 team parlay.
Minnesota Timberwolves vs Dallas Mavericks
The Minnesota Timberwolves and Dallas Mavericks played on Monday night and the game came down to the wire. The Mavericks squeaked out a 110–108 win on a controversial call that the Timberwolves were quite upset about, and with good reason. Dallas was at home for that game and now they run it back in Minnesota.
Dallas has won 16 of their last 21 games and is tied for fourth place with the Utah Jazz. The Timberwolves are right behind them and will be looking to make up ground. Minnesota suffered another tough loss on Wednesday night. They lost to the Phoenix Suns 125-116. The Timberwolves blew a 13 point lead.
Despite all these numbers that look good for Dallas, I like the Timberwolves to get back on track tonight. The Timberwolves should be on edge and playing with an angered intensity. The game was very close in Dallas and I expect it to be close again tonight. This time, however, I think the Timberwolves come out on top. Tonight’s Banker is the Minnesota Timberwolves – 2.
New York Knicks vs Miami Heat
Much was made about a sideline confrontation between Jimmy Butler and Heat coach Erik Spoelstra. Some people will downgrade the Heat for this. I think that it shows that the Heat care and have their hearts in the right place. The Heat are frustrated after losing two straight games to teams not playing their best players.
Miami has always been an abrasive team. The Heat definitely hustle, play physical, and get in their opponents with strong defense. All this frustration from losing will come to a boil tonight against the struggling New York Knicks.
New York is coming off a win against the Hornets 121-106. Before that, however, the Knicks have been terrible, losing six of their last seven. The Knicks were able to put it together against the Hornets but I think they will have problems against a much tougher Miami team tonight.
The Hornets do not play defense well, and the Heat play excellent defense. That will be the difference for the Knicks tonight. Miami should be fully focused on trying to move past the issues they had on the sideline on Wednesday. I expect a great 48 minute performance from all players who are on the Heat. The first half for a two-team parlay is the Miami Heat – 5.5.
Atlanta Hawks vs Golden State Warriors
The Hawks are fighting for the playoffs, while the Golden State Warriors are treading water at the third seed in the West. The Warriors are still without Steph Curry, and I’m not sure they believed that their performance right now reflects their overall ability as a team. In contrast, the Hawks are in a dog fight for the play-in tournament and need to be in playoff mode now. Atlanta is a much better team at home, so we get a little discount there.
I do like the Warriors’ chances if they get healthy, yet they are not a healthy team tonight. The Warriors did rest players in their last game, which shows they are not concerned about getting wins now, but rather focusing on preparing for the postseason. Steve Kerr’s rotations may reflect experimentation rather than what’s really best for the team. The second half our two team parlay is the Atlanta Hawks -2.
