The NBA has a 5 game Thursday night slate. Last night we cashed both the banker and the parlay. Let’s keep the winning streak going with more winnings NBA picks.
Chicago Bulls vs New Orleans Pelicans
The Bulls have lost four of their last five games. They did win their most recent game however 113-99 against the Toronto Raptors. That game was at home however where the Bulls play much better. The Bulls have been lost, especially on the defensive end, since losing a Lonzo Ball. Lonzo Ball set the tone on both ends of the floor and the Bulls have struggled to absorb his absence.
The New Orleans Pelicans are 3-2 in the last five including their most recent game, a 106-103 loss in Charlotte. Now the Pelicans return home where are they playing much better. The Pelicans have been buoyed by the addition of CJ McCollum, who’s averaging 26 points per game in his tenure with the team. Jonas Valanciunas is an excellent defensive center who should give Bulls center Nikola Vucevic some problems down low tonight.
I like Chicago to get things done. The Pelicans had a nice little stretch but they’re a tad bit overvalued by the market. The Pelicans are only 16-20 at home. The East has been tougher in the West so far this season, so I think the Bulls have been facing tougher competition. Today’s Banker is the Chicago Bulls +2.
2 Team Parlay
Indiana Pacers vs Memphis Grizzlies
Indiana Pacers are in a free-fall since fully committed to the rebuild halfway through the season. The Pacers have struggled with injuries this year and decided to completely switch the direction of their franchise. The Pacers are headed for a good lottery position but have not been playing well.
Pacers lost on a buzzer-beater last night 110-109 to the Sacramento Kings. It was another in a long line of disappointments for the Pacers this season. Ex Sacramento Kings Buddy Hield and Tyrese Haliburton definitely wanted to revenge, but the short-handed Kings were able to get the win.
Memphis is coming off of a 132–120 win over the Brooklyn Nets. Even without Ja Morant in the lineup, the Grizzlies have been rolling. As the Grizzlies showed last night, they are excellent as a team, especially on the defensive end, getting stops when it mattered. If the Grizzlies can beat a quality team like the Brooklyn Nets by 12, I see no reason why they won’t do the same to the floundering Pacers. The first half of the two team parlay is the Memphis Grizzlies -12.
Toronto Raptors vs Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cleveland Cavaliers have fallen down the rankings due to injuries. The Toronto Raptors are starting to get healthy with the return of OG Anunoby and Gary Trent this evening. Fred VanVleet is back in the lineup and he makes everything go for the Raptors offense.
This should be a hard-fought game with the teams separated by one game in the standings. However, I think it’s too much for a young Cleveland team going against an experienced team such as the Raptors. The Cavaliers have great potential but they are not yet at the Raptors level. The second half of the 2 team parlay is the Toronto Raptors -5.5.
