We have a shorter 4 game slate in the NBA tonight. That’s plenty of action, however, for us to find the winners. I’ve gone over the schedule and the NBA odds to find the winning Banker and 2 team parlay.
Chicago Bulls vs Milwaukee Bucks
The Chicago Bulls are on a back-to-back after a physical game against Toronto last night. Milwaukee’s last outing was a loss against the Timberwolves where Giannis Antetokounmpo sat out the game. Previously, the Milwaukee Bucks had won three of their last four. The Bucks thought it was best for Giannis to rest to be prepared for the Eastern Conference showdown tonight.
Where the Bucks are still ahead of the Bulls is in their ability to get stops. The Bucks have a balanced defense. They can beat you on the perimeter and protect the rim. The Bulls have effective perimeter defenders they can throw at you, but they have no rim protection if those players get beat. This problem comes up quite often when the Bulls are going against the best teams in the NBA.
The Bulls beat up on weaker opponents but have struggled against the NBA’s best. The Bulls are 4-11 ATS against teams with a win percentage of 60% or higher this season. The Bulls will once again struggle against one of the NBA’s best. Tonight’s Banker is the Milwaukee Bucks -5.5.
Atlanta Hawks vs New York Knicks
The Atlanta Hawks are much better than the Knicks, especially on the offensive end. The Knicks pride themselves on defense, but the Hawks play just as good defense as the Knicks when they try. One of the Hawks’ issues is they don’t always try. After poor play threatened to knock them out of playoff position, we have seen the Hawks’ defensive intensity pick up and that has resulted in them returning to being a winning team.
Trae Young appeared to be quite comfortable at Madison Square Garden when he eliminated the Knicks from the playoffs last season. I expect him to look comfortable again tonight. The Knicks have no counterpart for Young to keep pace with his offense. They have no one who can stop Young on the defensive end. I expect the Hawks to roll and eliminate the Knicks from playoff contention. The first half of the 2 Team Parlay is the Atlanta Hawks -2.
Golden State Warriors vs Orlando Magic
The Warriors finally got Draymond Green back and then Steph Curry was injured! The Warriors stars cant get healthy at the same time for the last 3 years. Everytime things are looking to turn up, the Warriors are hit with another injury. The Warriors hope Steph can be ready in time for the playoffs.
The Magic have a fun group of young players. Cole Anthony leads the way in scoring, and rookie Franz Wagner is the second leading scorer on the team. Wagner’s versatile play has been a bright spot for the Magic. Wagner is driving the ball much more effectively than NBA scouts expected. Combined with his solid jump shot, Wagner is an excellent young offensive weapon. The Magic need more draft hits like Wagner and they can turn this around.
The bookmakers did a great job on the side of this game. The side is Magic +8, exactly where I made the line. The total however is a tad short at 216. The Warriors can score, and the Magic have been playing high paced games, going over in 4 of their last 5. The Warriors have been struggling on the road, going 2-6 in their last 8 road games. When the Warriors lose, it’s usually breakdowns in the defense that cause the loss. The Warriors road defense has been much worse than the elite defense they have shown at home. The second half of our 2 team parlay is the Golden State Warriors/Orlando Magic Over 216.
