NBA Betting Picks for 3/11/22 Banker and Parlay

By @SpreadAstaire

There are 10 games of NBA action for us to choose from tonight. Things have been going well lately and let’s head into the weekend strong. After perusing the slate, running the numbers, and diving into the injury reports, I found the winning Banker and 2 team parlay.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Atlanta Hawks

Los Angeles Clippers coach Ty Lue deserves credit for the job he has done this season. The Clippers are missing their two best players, and are still hanging tough, within a position to make the playoffs. When looking at a team whose best player might be Reggie Jackson, this is definitely a coaching achievement. The Clippers mitigate their lack of talent through smart play and strong effort. Although, this week, for the first time this season, the effort appeared to be lacking. The Clippers were absolutely lethargic in losses to the Knicks and the Warriors. They got back on track on Wednesday night with a home win over the Wizards, however. Which Clippers team will show up tonight? I would expect to see a strong performance, but going against their opponent tonight, it might not matter.

The Atlanta Hawks are heading home after a three-game road trip. After winning the first game against the Washington Wizards, the Hawks dropped games to the Pistons and the Bucks. However, the Hawks are much better at home than they are on the road, with a record of 19-13 in Atlanta on the year. The Hawks have a great opportunity to end their losing streak tonight against Los Angeles.

The Hawks have more scoring options and more depth than the Clippers. As well as the Clippers are coached, the Hawks talent will be too much. I like the Hawks at home, where they play much better basketball. Tonight’s Banker the Atlanta Hawks – 5.5.

2-Team Parlay

Detroit Pistons vs. Boston Celtics

The Detroit Pistons had a three-game winning streak broken when they lost by 6 points at home on Wednesday to Chicago. The Piston still covered the NBA odds. The Pistons have been playing their best basketball of the season. Pistons leader Cade Cunningham has scored 20 points in five straight games. Isaiah Stewart, who is important to the Pistons defense, missed the last game. The Pistons hope Stewart will be available tonight.

The Boston Celtics have won four games in a row. Most recently, Boston defeated Charlotte by 14 points. Boston is the hottest team in the league winning 15 of the last 17 games. Jayson Tatum has been on fire, scoring 54 points and 44 points in his previous two games. The Boston starters currently have the best net rating of any starting lineup in the NBA. There’s not much you can say negative about the Boston Celtics right now.

Regardless of all of Boston’s accolades, I think this is too many points of NBA odds for the Detroit Pistons. The team is undervalued by the oddsmakers because they have been bad, but they have been covering spreads the last 2 weeks. I expect them to do so tonight because they’re getting an exorbitant amount of points because of the Celtics’ recent results. I do expect the Celtics to win, but I think the Pistons can at least keep it within the 14 points. The first half of the 2 team parlay is Detroit Pistons +14.

Dallas Mavericks vs. Houston Rockets

The Dallas Mavericks recently had their five-game winning streak ended by the New York Knicks when the Knicks beat the Mavericks by 30 points in Dallas. The Houston Rockets are coming off an upset victory, beating the Lakers at home by 9 points. Now Dallas travels to Houston and are heavily favored on the road.

With the way that Houston has been scoring, they are tough to bet against right now. When Eric Gordon comes back in the lineup, they are much more mindful on the defensive end. Houston can keep this game close with their dynamic scoring ability. The second half of the 2 team parlay is the Houston Rockets +11.

Parlay: Detroit Pistons +14/Houston Rockets +11 at +265 (3.65) at BetUS
