NBA Betting Picks for 3/4/22 Banker and Parlay

By @SpreadAstaire

Can we sweep the week with winning NBA bankers? This week has treated us kindly but we have one more play to go to get it home. After looking at tonight’s slate I found the winning banker and 2 team parlay.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs Oklahoma City Thunder

Those who have been reading my articles this season at Bet With Us have known that I’ve treated the Oklahoma City Thunder like an ATM machine. They have the second-best ATS record in the league, right behind the Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies and the Thunder are on opposite ends of the standings, however. The Grizzlies rode their ATS record to third place in the Western Conference. The Thunder are in 14th Place. So how did the Thunder consistently cover the spread? They receive high amounts of points of NBA odds.

This will be the case here again tonight as the Oklahoma City Thunder are catching 9.5 points at home. Even with the dirty injury report that the Thunders have today, the Thunder just compete regardless. Even with many of their best players on the injury report, the Thunder were able to cover and win straight up in their last game against the Denver Nuggets. Oklahoma City Thunder coach Mark Daigneault must be given credit because regardless of who is in the game he always gets his team to play well. The Thunder have won two of their last three games even though they only had nine available players in the last game.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are a tough team to go against here. The Timberwolves are 3-2 in the last five and 6-4 in their last 10. They have won two in a row. Both recent games were quality wins. The Timberwolves prevailed over the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors. Regardless, I think the Thunder will play them tough and keep this game close as they are well-known to do. Today’s Banker is the Oklahoma City Thunder +9.5.

2 Team Parlay

Milwaukee Bucks vs Chicago Bulls

The Milwaukee Bucks are coming into the game after an excellent win over the Miami Heat. Milwaukee was down by 14 points with seven minutes to go to the game but closed the game on a 21-6 run to beat the first-place Miami Heat by 1 point. Is this a letdown spot for the Bucks? Not necessarily, because the Chicago Bulls are also ahead of the Bucks in the standings. The NBA odds seem to indicate that they think the Bucks will win fairly easily as they are currently set at -5.

This is a great “Buy Low” spot for the Chicago Bulls here. The Bulls have been struggling as of late. The Bulls have lost three straight games including a six-point loss to the Hawks on Thursday night. The Bulls were the opposite of the Bucks. They were ahead by 9 in the fourth quarter but ended up losing the game by 6. After such high hopes to start the season and spending the first two months of the season in first place, the Bulls can feel their season slipping away. They have a great chance to make a statement against the defending champions tonight. While I do believe the Bulls have a chance to win straight up, we will definitely take the five points in NBA odds to be safe. The first half of our 2 team parlay is the Chicago Bulls +5.

Utah Jazz vs New Orleans Pelicans

After taking two dogs we need a Friday night favorite! We will make that the Utah Jazz, the winners of nine of their last 10 games. The Jazz fly under the radar because they don’t play a flashy brand of basketball and they consistently struggle in the playoffs. However, when it comes to regular-season wagering, the Jazz are one of the best bets in the NBA. Tonight they face a New Orleans Pelicans team that has definitely come along since the addition of CJ McCollum. The Pelicans scored an important victory on Wednesday night and essentially eliminated one of their rivals for Play-In contention. The Pelicans beat the Sacramento Kings with a dominant 30-point win. While the Pelicans have a nice squad to beat up on perennial losers such as the Kings, going against a perennial winner such as the Jazz is a whole different story. I think the Jazz will prove that they are one level above the Pelicans when it comes to the current tiers of NBA teams. The second half of the  2 team parlay is the Utah Jazz -3.5.
