NBA Betting Picks for 1/12/22 Banker and Parlay

By @SpreadAstaire

Wednesday nights are always packed with action in the NBA. I have pored over the NBA odds to find the winning Banker and 2-team parlay.

Los Angeles Lakers vs Sacramento Kings

The Los Angeles Lakers have been playing much better basketball as of late. The Sacramento Kings have not. The Sacramento Kings are 3-7 in their last 10 games and have lost five games in a row. The Kings roster lacks talent is poorly constructed and is poorly coached. This makes them an easy fade.

The Los Angeles Lakers were overvalued to start the season but now they’re playing to their potential. Even without Anthony Davis in the lineup, the elite play of LeBron James has pushed the Lakers to play better as of late. Before losing to the Grizzlies on Sunday night, the Lakers had won four in a row. LeBron James is average 34 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists over his last 11 games.

The Kings are a team in trouble that needs to make moves during this trade deadline. Until they make the necessary moves, we will continue to fade them and make money. Tonight’s Banker is the Los Angeles Lakers -2.5.

2-Team Parlay

Brooklyn Nets vs Chicago Bulls

The Brooklyn Nets has struggled against the NBA’s best this season. After losing to the Bucks on Friday night, the Nets are now 0-8 against top teams, including an earlier loss to the Bulls this season. With the Nets having elite scorers and play makers leading their team, you would think that they would do better against the NBA’s best. The Nets are a team that is in championship-or-bust mode and maybe they are overlooking some of these regular-season matchups

Chicago Bulls do not have players that have accomplished so much like the Nets. After many consecutive years in the lottery, both have something to prove this season. This has shown as the Bulls have skyrocketed to the top of the Eastern Conference. The Bulls and Nets are tied for seventh in points per game at 110.9.

Even off of back-to-back I like the Bulls to get it done against the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets are still reintegrating Kyrie Irving and struggle against the top teams, while the Bulls have established their roles. Later in the season, the Nets will probably be better against the league’s elite but for now we will continue to fade them against the NBA’s best. The first half of the two-team parlay is the Chicago Bulls -1.

Miami Heat vs Atlanta Hawks

Even while missing their top players the Heat play tough. Atlanta will be in the dreaded first game home after a long road trip, often times when the team still play sluggish. I believe that Heat will take advantage of that to end their road trip tonight. I like the matchup of Kyle Lowry against Trae Young, and I believe that Lowry can stop Young from spearheading their potent offensive attack. The Heat have a deeper roster and are better coached. The second half of the team parlay is the Miami Heat +4.5.
