NBA Betting Picks for 11/23/21 Banker and Parlay

By @SpreadAstaire

It’s a smaller slate tonight in the NBA but we can still find picks help get us into a winning mood headed into this holiday weekend. Looking at today’s NBA Slate, who are the right NBA picks for a winning Banker and 2 team parlay?

Denver Nuggets vs Portland Trail Blazers

The Denver Nuggets received dire news this week. A nerve injury in Michael Porter Jr has back resurfaced and the sharpshooting forward might be out for the rest of the season. This was a crushing blow to the Nugget who were already without the services of Jamal Murray. The Nuggets are fighting admirably with the loss of the second and third best player. Now other players will be forced to step up and the Nuggets will need to explore the trade market in order to try and find another complementary player for their squad.

In the absence of these spectacular Playmakers, more and more usage falls on Nikola Jokic. While more Jokic is never a bad thing, one must wonder after a grueling MVP season last year, how much he has in the tank being relied upon to carry a hobbled roster. In November I think we will be safe to assume that his production will not decline, but this is something I suggest we keep an eye on as the season continues

The Nuggets will still have the best player on the floor. Jokic will be more reliant upon Will Barton and Monte Morris to chip in. Austin Rivers will also play a crucial role as many players will need to help out to fill the void left by these two aggressive playmakers. Nuggets coach Michael Malone will be in for a challenge navigate this team through these rough waters.

Portland has won four of their last five in impressive fashion. The one loss in his five-game stretch however it was to the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets and Trail Blazers have had a rivalry over the last couple seasons and always play each other close.

Dame Lillard has spurred the resurgence and scored 39 in the win over the Sixers. After a uncharacteristically slow start, Lillard has averaged 20 points in the last 7 games. Lillard’s scoring touch his returned. He’s averaging 26.4 points per game during the span. With Lillard returning to form, the Trailblazers are definitely a tough out.

I like the Nuggets to keep it close here. These teams always play each other tight, regardless of who is on the floor, and I believe the six points of NBA odds will help us cover the spread. Today’s Banker is the Denver Nuggets +6.5.

2-Team Parlay

Dallas Mavericks vs Los Angeles Clippers

The Dallas Mavericks are also suffering with the loss of star players. Luka Doncic has been out with a sprained ankle, and he is on the injury report this evening. Dallas has played a rough schedule. The Mavericks dropped games to the Nuggets and then previously to the Clippers on Sunday evening. The Mavericks are making the most of a tough situation as it gives other players an opportunity to get more involved on the offense.

Kristap Porzingis had 25 points and Jalen Brunson had 20 in the 97-91 loss to the Clippers on Sunday night.  I think the Mavericks are starting to find their way without Luka. I do believe they keep this game much closer than the loss on Sunday night. The first half of our two-team parlay is the Dallas Mavericks + 5.5 against the Los Angeles Clippers

Miami Heat vs Detroit Pistons

The Miami Heat are coming off a loss to the Washington Wizards but have won four of their last five. The Heat fell 103-100 to Washington on Saturday night. The Heat will be looking to get back on track tonight against Detroit. The Pistons will be at out center Isaiah Stewart, who was suspended for a scuffle against LeBron James on Sunday night in a loss to the Lakers. The Pistons will also be without Killian Hayes and Kelly Olynyk.

I expect to see a slow-paced game tonight in Detroit. Miami has arguably the best defense in the league, and I do believe the Pistons will have a hard time scoring against them. A slow pace and a big lead are the recipe for one wager…The under. Although the total of 207 is markedly low, in this season’s NBA, with a team that is not very strong on offense it is very easy for these low totals numbers to go under. I personally prefer the lower scoring affairs, and this will be one of them. The second half of the two-team parlay is Miami Heat Detroit Pistons under 207

Parlay: Dallas Mavericks +5.5 Detroit Pistons/Miami Heat under 207 at +265 (3.65) at BetUS
