A new week brings us a new opportunity to make money betting on the National Basketball Association. I scoured the card to find the winning Banker and a winning 2 team parlay.
Sacramento Kings vs Detroit Pistons
Once again, the Sacramento Kings are a disappointment to their fans. I live in Sacramento and trust me, we are used to it. The Kings don’t get much attention from the national media and rightfully so…they do not deserve it. The Kings have lost four games in a row including their most recent outing, a two-point loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
In stocks and sports gambling, we love to “buy low”. The Kings are giving us a great opportunity here! The return of Tyrese Haliburton should help Sacramento play better than they have as of late, and what better way to get right than against the Detroit Pistons.
We will “buy low” on the Kings and the Pistons are giving us a great opportunity to “sell high”. Detroit garnered their third victory of the season on Saturday, so they are coming off a rare win. After scoring a meager 78 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night, they traveled up to Toronto and dropped 127 points in a victory over the Raptors, which featured them shooting 54.4% from the field. Is this a blip on the radar or a sign of things to come?
Both actually. The Pistons will not consistently perform as well as they did Saturday night. Yet performances like Saturday show that the team has potential and will be able to fight against tougher teams.
Still, teams that are growing and learning often times have problems building upon success. While the talent is there to see, but the consistency doesn’t always shine through.
The Kings recent performances were deceptively bad because of the loss of Tyrese Haliburton. Haliburton brings so much to the Kings backcourt, especially the way of defense. With Halliburton back, this team can resemble the fringe playoff team that it is always destined to be. For today’s Banker, we’re taking the Sacramento Kings to bounce back and cover the 4.5 point spread against Detroit Pistons
Banker: Sacramento Kings – 4.5 at -110 (1.91)
Indiana Pacers vs New York Knicks
The Pacers and the Knicks are two tough teams for me to get a handle on right now. On certain nights they look brilliant, and on other nights they look terribly bad. The Pacers are transitioning under new coach Rick Carlisle. The Knicks are learning how to deal with finally having expectations for that come from being a successful team. With wildly varying results coming from both sides, I can only look to bet this game one way.
I will be taking the under here. Both teams are prone to inconsistent performances and a blowout helps this game go under. Which team is that? I’m not sure but I do not expect a close game as neither team has consistently shown good results this season. Both teams have gone under in four of their last five outings. The first leg of a two-team parlay is the Pacers/Knicks under.
Denver Nuggets vs Dallas Mavericks
European stars have come to the NBA and sent shock waves over the last five seasons. Nikola Jokic and Luka Doncic are the poster boys for teams finding talented players among the ranks of the European leagues. Both men will showcase their skills tonight and what should be an exciting Western Conference matchup.
The Nuggets have been hampered by injury, losing Michael Porter Jr and then Will Barton last evening. The Nuggets have been good this season so far. They have rallied around their injured teammates and have shown fight no matter who was on the floor. I expect another close game here tonight and therefore the value is to grab the Nuggets plus the points.
2-Team Parlay: New York Knicks/Indiana Pacers Under 213.5 and Denver Nuggets +4.5 at +265 (3.65)
