Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Memphis Grizzlies
The sputtering Timberwolves head to Memphis to take on the Grizzlies. In a battle of two young
teams loaded with potential, which team should we make our Banker?
The Minnesota Timberwolves have a dearth of offensive potential. The Timberwolves are
struggling to unleash this potential however as they failed to score 100 points in three of their
last four losses. This lack of offensive punch has led to the losing streak. Minnesota is getting
good looks, the ball simply not going through the hoop. Minnesota averages 32.1% from behind
the 3-point arc. They are 26th in the NBA in three-point range. They are 29th in the NBA in total
shooting percentage at 40.9%.
The Memphis Grizzlies were off to a fantastic start before running into a roadblock in
Washington. The Grizzlies have a bunch of impressive wins on their schedule this season,
including two wins over the Nuggets, a win against the Warriors, and a win over the Clippers.
The Timberwolves have played one of the toughest schedules in the NBA so far. One must
respect their 5-4 start.
I like the Grizzlies here to bounce back at home coming off a loss. Minnesota is still
experiencing the growing pains that come with assembling a roster full of young players.
Minnesota is heading for another season of disappointment while the Grizzlies are on track to
become hey consistent entrant into the playoffs year after year good
The Grizzlies roster is the much more prepared to be able to compete and win now. Should be a
focused effort in a bounce box spot coming off a tough loss to the Washington Wizards. I will
continue to fade Minnesota until they show signs of life. Today’s Banker Memphis Grizzlies -6.
Banker Memphis Grizzlies – 6 at -112 (1.89)
I know people are going to love the Bulls today because of the situational spot the Brooklyn
Nets are in. The Nets coming off a win in Canada against the Toronto Raptors yesterday
afternoon. I think the back-to-back narrative will be a bit overrated here. Brooklyn should be
eager to put forth a strong effort against their up-and-coming Eastern Conference rivals. The
Bulls have a great team that is set to beat up on the weaker teams in the conference, but the
Nets are the cream of the crop. Kevin Durant will be the best player on the floor and the Nets
will prove they are the better team today. First team of the 2 team parlay Brooklyn Nets
Phoenix Suns vs. Sacramento Kings
The Suns enter this game on a four-game win streak, while the kings are coming off a tough
three-point loss to the Indiana Pacers. I do like the Suns to get the win here in Sacramento. The
Suns are coming into form, but I believe there is a better play.
In this game we will attack the Under. Phoenix plays a slower pace of basketball with Chris Paul
at the helm. The Kings simply have not been able to put up points as of late, as evidenced by
their 91 points in the loss yesterday. Both the Suns and the Kings games have gone under three
of their last five. I believe this trend continues as the final score will come in under the total of
2-Team Parlay: Brooklyn Nets +1/Phoenix Suns Sacramento Kings under 225.5 at +263 (3.63)
