Indiana Hoosiers vs. Michigan Wolverines
For this week’s Banker I’m going back to the well! Michigan & Michigan State delivered an easy winner
for us on last week’s Banker, which was the full game over 50 total points (finished 37-33 in favor of
I’m going to be taking Michigan’s full game team total this Saturday, which is set at 35. Michigan is- set
to host the Indiana Hoosiers at “The Big House” this weekend & it’s a Hoosier squad that is reeling.
Indiana had big expectations going into the 2021 season, but their lofty goals have not come to fruition.
In fact, it’s been a very rough go for Indiana this season, especially of late, losing 4 straight and 5 of their
The last two weeks have been particularly brutal for the Hoosiers, losing 35-38 to a mediocre Maryland
and getting blown out 54-7 at home by the Ohio State Buckeyes. The season seems to be wearing on the
Hoosiers and the strength of the team, which is their defense. That’s bad news with an impending visit
to Michigan on deck.
Michigan is coming off its first loss of the season on the road to in-state rival Michigan State and should
have something to prove. Michigan turned the ball over four times in that game and still managed to put
up 33 on one of the best defensive units in the country. Michigan QB Cade McNamara was solid in that
game throwing for 388 yards and two TD’s.
But it was the emergence of freshman WR Andrel Anthony who exploded for 155 yards and two TD
receptions! The Wolverine offense has found a balanced attack on the ground and through the air and it
This is a very unfortunate situation for Indiana to have to face a Michigan offense that will be hungry to
put up as many points as possible and find a way to earn a shot at the college football playoff. The
Wolverines could score 50 here in my opinion, I’m rolling with the following for my Banker:
BANKER: Michigan Team Total Over 35 at -115
I’m going to utilize the power of the parlay this week by choosing two small to medium favorites in
NCAAF that I think should handle their business comfortably and deliver us a no sweat winner, that’s the
idea anyway. Firstly, I’m backing the Mustangs of SMU who are priced around the (-200) mark and are
on the road at Memphis.
This is great value in my opinion, SMU lost a heartbreaker on the road last week to a solid Houston
squad and seem to be getting a bit of a short number here as a (-4) point road favorite. I had this
number listed closer to a touchdown for a few reasons. Memphis’s season long starting QB Seth
Hennigan is questionable to play Saturday (hand injury) and if can’t go will be once again replaced by
Parish was 31 for 50 with 0 TDs and 3 INTs in his start last week vs UCF, a 7-24 loss. Regardless of who
plays QB for Memphis, I feel strongly about SMU in this “get right spot” to handle their business. SMU
boasts the #7 scoring offense in the nation averaging almost 43 points a game and should have mouths
watering Saturday vs Memphis’s bottom 20 defensive unit. Lock in SMU ML for leg one of this week’s
two team parlay.
Secondly, I’m going to take a slightly heavier favorite that shouldn’t have any issues taking care of their
opponent. UAB, who is one of the best home teams in college football in the last three seasons (only 2
losses in their last 3 years) is set to host a struggling Louisiana Tech side.
La Tech (2-6) is fresh off maybe the worst loss in program history on the road to Old Dominion, who not
only hadn’t won an FBS game in 3 years but didn’t even have a football team in 2020 due to the Covid-
19 pandemic. UAB will be eager to win at home after a surprising loss to Rice last week. Louisiana Tech
has struggled mightily on the offensive side of the ball over the last few weeks scoring only 3, 16 and 20
points over their last three games.
Meanwhile, UAB ranks 25th in scoring defense and should match up well with QB Austin Kendall the
substandard Louisiana Tech offense. Look for UAB to control the pace of the game with their run game
and shut down the Bulldog offense. Lock in the following and lets cash again!
Parlay: SMU Mustangs + UAB Blazers ML for at -129
