Champions League Matchday 3 Longshot Betting Picks at 20.79

By Alex Campean

Champions League is back with some exciting games, and we are back with some great value bets. You can take them as single bet, because the odds are great, but we will also try to cash our 1 st Long Shot Parlay for BetWithUS.

Ajax vs. Dortmund
After 2 weeks of training on his own, Erling Haaland is back from injury, and we can always count on him. He scored 2 at the weekend against Mainz and he’s ready to do it again on the road against Ajax in Champions League. Both teams are flying high in their domestic leagues but also in the Champions League.

After 2 rounds they are equal on points, and they are now fighting for the 1 st position in their group. Sebastien Haller is on fire for Ajax, and he will lead the attacking line, and everyone is thinking that the home advantage will be a huge plus but when you play against Reus, Brandt, Hazard and Haaland you shouldn’t be that sure.

This should a high scoring affair, a ‘2-2’ type of match do we expect Dortmund to score at least 2 goals.

1 st Pick: Dortmund Over 1.5 Total Team goals at 2.0

Atletico Madrid vs. Liverpool
I know we are talking about one of the best defensive team in Europe. You rarely see Atletico conceded twice on their home turf, but Liverpool are way better team at the moment and their attacking firepower is just amazing. Since the beginning of the season, they score at least 2 goals in 10 of their 11 games across all competitions.

Their deadly attacking trio Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are unstoppable. Liverpool have scored three goals or more in their six away games in all competitions this season and the odds are too good for another attacking show from the Reds.

2 nd Pick: Liverpool Overt 1.5 Total Team goals at 2.2

Benfica vs. Bayern Munich

Bayern are out of this world. They are just superb… Let’s not even talk about their 5-1 win against Leverkusen with 4 goals scored in 7 minutes… They travel to play Benfica and we expect them to deliver and score at least 3 goals on their own.

If we take out their only defeat of the season (1-2 to Eintracht) they score at least 3 goals in their last 10 games across all competitions. The way Benfica destroyed Barcelona in the Champions League was impressive and we expect them to reach the knock-out stages, but Bayern are aliens.

They aren’t slowing down at all and the difference in quality between the 2 sides is obvious. A fast goal from Bayern will force Benfica to open and leave many gaps at the back. The Bavarians have more than enough to cover the -1.5 Asian Handicap but for this longshot we are taking the Total Team goals.

3 rd Pick: Bayern Munich Over 2.5 Total Team goals at 2.25

Zenit vs. Juventus
After a poor start to their season Juventus bounce back and enter this clash on the back of 5 wins in a row. They were very lucky to beat AS Roma at the weekend with AS Roma missing a penalty after Orsato’s controversial decision. But a win is a win and Juventus travel to play Zenit in the Champions League.

With 2 wins in 2 games, Juventus are eager to consolidate their top spot in the group. Despite the absence of Morata, Juventus have quality players such as Kean and Chiesa who can make the difference. We expect them to win and score at least 2 goals on their own.

4 th Pick: Juventus Over 1.5 Total Team goals at 2.1
