TCU Horned Frogs vs Oklahoma Sooners
If you are a fan of the Oklahoma football program or even just a fan of College Football itself, you surely were tuned in to last weekend’s Red River Rivalry between the Sooners and the Longhorns of the University of Texas. Texas came storming out of the gates, at one point leading by a score of 28-7. Enter Caleb Williams, the true freshman Quarterback for the Sooners was called upon after a shaky start to the game from then starter Spencer Rattler.
Caleb Williams took it to the house for a 66 yard “do it yourself” run one his first play from scrimmage! After that it was his game, and he did not disappoint. Williams led the Sooner offense to 48 points in the final three quarters and was 15/24 passing with 2 TD’s and 0 INTs. The OU offense finally looked like the offense we expected and are accustomed to seeing.
For me, with Williams at the helm combined with the Sooner’s recent defensive track record under defensive Coordinator Alex Grinch vs TCU, this weekend’s matchup in Norman has Oklahoma blowout written all over it. I also think with this being Williams first real week starting at QB for Oklahoma we may be getting a jump start on the books, which is always nice. My banker is the following:
